Hello, I'm Przemek!

I'm an insured CPR and Lifeguard Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) who has over a decade of experience teaching people how to swim. I've taught classes with ages ranging from toddlers to the elderly. I have also trained athletes for triathlons and Iron Man competitions. No one is too young or too old to get active and I am up for any challenge!

I grew up as an energetic athlete who excelled in most sports, but I was drawn to the water since a young age. Swimming became more than a sport; I fell in love with everything about it. Whether it be the weightlessness of floating, or the powerful sensation of gliding through the water, the element captured my heart. My passion continued through college where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education with a focus on Swimming Instruction. I wanted to teach people the physical and psychological benefits of swimming, along with the importance of practicing safety in the water.

Along my journey I found that I really knew how to connect with children and teach them how to swim safely in a fun manner.

My passion became my career. In 2007, I crossed the ocean from Poland to New York City to start a small business (SwimNowNYC) where I taught children of all ages how to swim, as well as adults that desired to take advantage of the health benefits.

During the summer I worked as a Lifeguard Lieutenant in various NYC parks. It was on these sunny days as I watched over families laughing and making memories in the cool water that I knew that I was on the right path.

I love the water and my career! At SwimNowNYC my co-workers and I teach about 50 kids each week, in both group and private sessions. We work creatively and with discipline to improve each swimmer's skill so they may learn the love, peace and joy that swimming provides.
